Had a great time at Cardiff Science Festival doing lots of public talks and winning the first ever live version of I'm a Scientist, Get Me Out of Here.
Recently I gave presentations to year 9s on the wonders of astronomy - concentrating on what can be done with the naked eye. I called it "do-it-yourself astronomy". It was a great success and I hope to get the chance to repeat it someday.
I am on the advisory panel and a regular speaker at Reading University's LASAR project - (the Oxford meeting in the photo) concerning Robots and Free Will.

Music Experiment: I designed, with Sue Denham and Istvan Winkler, and supervised a study of musical perception that used volunteers drawn from the crowds at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival as experimental subjects.
