Hi Everyone!

A huge 'thank you' to everyone who made my trip to Karaganda a joyful experience. Special mentions go to Kymbat, who invited me, and Aruzhan my translator and guide who was friendly, helpful, chatty, and good company. But all the students and lecturers were a delight to work with.

There is simply no substitute for getting together and relaxing into our common humanity. Indeed exploring common humanity is the only purpose that is strictly necessary for getting together; but in this case there was the additional focus of science and medicine. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to introduce young and talented people to a different view of the world, as part of the mosaic of outlooks and interpretations necessary for a citizen of a glocal technological culture.

I have moved my thanks here to this page because I am in contact with some of you on Facebook, some on LinkedIn, some on WhatsApp, and some by email only. It is a mess! This page will stay here for a few months and I will send everyone I can track down the short url so they can read it and get my email to reply:
