Plymouth University
I am now an Associate Lecturer of the Doctoral College and run a range of workshops for graduates and undergraduates including Public Engagement techniques►, Research Methods, Matlab programming, and LaTeX.
University of Insubria
As Visiting Lecturer in Norther Italy I work with with the lovely people at University of Insubria as a small part of their Science Communication Masters programme.

Blue Action
I was Affiliated Senior Researcher at the University of Lapland, Arctic Centre and the Danish Meteorological Service
My research activities include a role in the Blue Action project with the University of Lapland. The aim of the project is to "provide fundamental and empirically-grounded, executable science that quantifies and explains the role of a changing Arctic in increasing predictive capability of weather and climate of the Northern Hemisphere." Cheltenham Science Festival 20072023
Was my 17th consecutive year on the programme ►at the science festival in Cheltenham (missed one during lockdown!). And this will sadly probabably be my last.
I have also presented at the Jazz and Music festivals. I also developed, for Cheltenham, the first citizen science project at a public festival to lead to an academic publication anywhere in Europe. It is great to be back working with The Flying Kandinskys► in particular.
British Council
Science in Schools: Six very successful tours of mainland France, one to Reunion Island, and one visit to French Guiana with Supermarket Scientist► for primary schools, going back to do it again and a third time to do the Brain Game► with secondary schools after a meeting with representatives of the British Council and the French Education Ministry in Paris.
SchoolLab: I have been working with the British Council in France to launch SchoolLab; a schools project modelled on FameLab. More news on this soon!
