The 2009 17th Annual North West Fife Fancy Canary Club Show was won by local Novice Exhibitor Graham Holdsworth with a tidy heavily variegated yellow hen.
Graham took the top award after beating the best champion exhibit, a self green yellow hen benched by the Clarke & Gillott partnership.
The champion colour specials were well split with F Sandersons clear buff hen taking the best clear award, Gerald Spencers Buff Variegated and Heavily Variegated Cocks (Pictured Below) took their respective colour specials, with H Parry taking best champion Cinnamon, Clarke and Gillott completed a colour special double taking the variegated cinnamon special. I was delighted with my white teams performace with all three entries winning their classes and the variegated white cock taking the Best Allied to white special (Pictured Below), Brian Timmins completed the line up taking the Best Self Blue award with a tidy Blue Hen.
A very encouraging Novice entry saw P Glover take the Clear, Self Green and Self Blue Colour specials, with the remaining sepcials split between a number of up and coming exhibitors, C & L Thomas took best varieagated, N Willis best Self Cinnamon, A & S Kendall best Variegated cinnamon and N Dodd Best allied to white, with Graham Holdsworth taking best Heavily Variegated. All in all a good show with over 650 Fifes entered.
