The culmination of a good breeding season is the show season, in the UK the show calendar starts in early October with Shropshire and Salop FFCC club show, Northants area Border and Fife Show, West of Scotland FFCC and then at the end of the month my local club show the North West FFCC. November sees the North Wales FFCC and then the biggest fife show anywhere in the world, the North of England FFCC, followed by a new, and very well run show, The Midland FFCC, Northumberland and Durham FFCC is the final show I'd attend in early December (please note there are other specialist Fife shows during this period).
The shows are a great chance to meet up with people from all over the country and to put your birds up against some of the best fifes in the world!
Entering the show
A schedule is normally available a couple of months in advance of the show from the show or general secretary. These are generally sent out automatically to previous years exhibitors and paid up club members. The schedule will include details of the show (venue, times for birds to be benched, judges engaged, specials, classifications) and most importantly the entry form.
