18 June

Almost 6 weeks since my last updates on the site combination of very busy in work, connection issues and one of the most challenging seasons i can remember. It feels like the move compounded with the weather has made this a difficult season, i take some consolation in the factthat a number of fanciers up and down the country have experienced a similar topsy turvey season.

What all of this means is that my breeding season will be extended by a few weeks than normal i've set more nest this weekend and i've a few more to set but i'll start to roll a couple of pairs up into the flights soon. Last eggs will be se by the end of June and i'll see where i end up. What i am pleased about is the quality of the young coming out of the nest, all have the shape i like to see so be interesting to see how they end up!.

I like these two variegateds and delighted that this is one of half a dozen Norwich i've bred this season a little project of mine (as if i need anything more to keep me occupied!)

There's three young from this nest and i like the look of them early on, their father bred my special winning foul buff cock at last years north of england so there's some pedigree behind them

The video doesn't do these birds justice, one inparticular is one of the best birds i think ive bred - hopefully as it continues to develop it will retain the qualities its currently showing
