The breeding season is my favourite time of the canary year, nothing quite beats the excitement of seeing the first young of the season hatch. As with all livestock things never always go exactly to plan, but by following a good feeding regime and pairing up you birds as suggested over the coming pages you should enjoy a successful breeding season.
This is arguably the busiest time of the canary year with at least two visits to the bird-room required everyday, in the morning and then in the evening to top of greenfood and eggfood, check on the young and nesting hens and run the cocks with their intended mates.
