Notes:

The 1926 bird was an adult male shot by Nicholas Davis and prepared as a mount that Henry H. Brock obtained for his collection. Most of Brock's collection later became part of the Portland Society of Natural History collection, which was dismantled and dispersed in the 1970s, with some specimens going to unknown locations. Ralph Palmer saw the specimen in 1947, vouching for its identification. An unlabeled mount of an adult male at the Maine State Museum might be this bird.
