Sooty Tern photographed by Scott Surner 14 July 2012 at Biddeford Pool, York Co. Key features evident in the photographs and noted by Surner are the entirely blackish ventral side to the primaries, short white fore-crown band (ending at eye), and deep blackish upperparts.
