Recruitment Policy

To be considered for a current vacancy you must apply within the specified job announcement timeframe. You may mail or fax your resume and application to our office or they can be sent via e-mail to Lora Shramek at lshramek@co.johnson.ia.us.

Employment applications are available in the Human Resources Department located at the Administration Building, Suite 103, 913 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City, IA 52240 or you can print, complete, and mail or fax the online application. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Applicants are screened for minimum qualifications as outlined in the job posting and job description. Some positions require post-job offer physical, drug screen, criminal background check, and/or driving record check.

All applications and resumes are kept on file for 90 days.
