Iowa City Police Update - Sgt Batcheller Denies Calling our Publisher

Mr. Longdon,
To set the record straight, at the time you filed your complaint I had the front desk person let you know when I would be done with roll call and ask that you please wait to speak with me. This incident actually occurred on our Evening Watch, however I wanted to speak with you to hear your concerns. You elected not do that and leave, so I called you as you requested. You did not answer less than an hour after you left the Police Department. Five days later, you called and spoke with the Late Night Watch Commander, Lt. Mike Brotherton. I have never spoken with you as you have stated in your below email.
I am aware of the complaint and it is being reviewed and looked into. If you have any questions as to the status of this or need additional information as to the status of this complaint, I would encourage you to call the Police Department and speak with Lt. Brotherton or leave a number where he can call you and speak with you. I have copied Lt. Brotherton on this email so I would encourage you to respond directly with him and specifiy a time that works best for him to be able to contact you.
