Day 1, Wednesday
The only thing to report on the trip out via Spirit Air, is that they moved into an actual terminal here in Chicago. No more cramped spaces, handwritten gate signs and other such nonsense. I mean, still far from deluxe. But better!
Flight on out a Wednesday afternoon. Sneaking in a last minute trip, before the kids head back to school. And away we go!
This go round, my former Cosmo host, who I followed to Rio. Which was a one and done stay for us. Just moved over to the all new Fontainebleau. A joint I walked through once, but have never stayed at. I did have to wait for her to go through orientation there before we could book anything. But it was well worth the wait. She matched my best offers in Vegas. $1,000 in Free Play and $350 in dining credit.
She did say she couldn't get us a connecting room for the kids, due to the hotel being sold out on Friday. But she did put us up in a Gold Double Queen. Whatever the fuck that is. She also set us up with a limo from the airport. Which is always fun.
Spirit being Spirit meant we sat on the tarmac at O'Hare for a good 35 minutes for no reason whatsoever. Which meant my poor limo driver had to stand by a Starbucks for longer than he should have. But he was cool about it. Said he was a former Wynn driver. And he was the first of many ex-Wynn and ex-Cosmo folks we would meet on this trip. It seems a lot of workers from those two places ended up over here.
Como workers, that felt jaded by the MGM takeover. And Wynn workers, who wanted to work for a place that wasn't named after a rapist I guess. Whose to say?
Many VIP room check-ins and many limo rides in Vegas for us. But for the first time ever, the FB (Which is what I will type from here on, as I have to google how to spell fucking Fontainebleau each time) had someone waiting for the limo. To escort us into the property. Fancy!
She greeted us at the car, said she knew it was our first time there. And she wanted to give us a quick tour and show us around. Which was very helpful, as I only vaguely knew where the VIP check-in was.
She showed us the main check-in, and said don't worry about that. As that is where the Not Important People go. And she lead us into the VIP room. The wife and kids sat down for some snacks and drinks. And I got to the actual checking in.
Once we got that settled, and both her and I were a little taken back by the room I was assigned. She proceeded to show us around the maze that is the VIP room. So we knew where they put the snacks out. 8AM to 10AM is breakfast, being muffins and coffee and the like. Noon-2PM is snacks, fruits cookies and what not. And we can always drop in whenever for a bite to eat or to grab a drink.
She also showed us the back way into the elevators. She spent a good 30MINs with us. And earned her $20 tip.
The room we got... Was fine. I mean its a great room, I was just hoping for some space. Everything is new and clean. And it did feel like the high end resort it seems to be. Being 6PM on a Wednesday, with us checking out at 10AM on Saturday. It will do just fine I guess.
I had zero time to waste. They were running all kinds of promos while we are here.
Spin Your Win. New Members. 72 hours. $10 Free Play. 100 Play Points ($400 coin in) Spin for up to $500 more.
Daily Slot Tournament. 100 play points ($250 coin in) 1 entry. 500 points ($1,250 coin in) 2nd entry. Earn points from 12:01AM to 7:59PM same day. Must play before 8PM day of. Play near Pit 2 between The Tavern & Don’s Prime. Get 4 digit code. Winners post by 9PM day of.
It was actually a fairly rich tourney. $5K given away every weekday in August.
I had about an hour once I hit the casino to grab my card, set my PIN, confirm my free play, earn 500 points and actually do the tournament before the 7:59PM cut off time. I work well under pressure.
Players Club Dude had to add my address and whatnot to the account. My host set up the card, so she could load the free play match. But purposely didn't complete it. So I could register as a new player, and do that promo as well. Smart!
I had my plan of attack all laid out. Now they do use Theo for tier credits and Bleau Points (Resort Credits). But I found it to mostly be 3 of each for every $10 played through a slot. Which would make it a flat 10% hold IE 90% return. Which is roughly what you can expect in Vegas. For every $100 played through, you lose about $10. And $10 in theoretical loss = 3 Bleu Points + 3 tier credits.
My plan is to:
$10K per day coin in. 3 days = $30K coin. $30K coin = $120 in free play. $100 in resort credit. $40 in cash back (redeem 3 times a year). Move up a tier, and get $100 in resort credit. $160 + $200 = $360 in money back on my play.
$2.50 coin Slots or $10 coin Video Poker = 1 Play Point
$10 coin = 3 TC’s + 3 RC’s + 0.04 PP.
$10,000 coin = 3,000 Tier. $30.00 Resort Credit. $40.00 Point Play
$25,000 coin = 7,500 Tier. $75 Resort Credit. $100.00 Point Play. Move up to Silver. 10% more Point Play. $100 dining credit
There will be a test later.
Less math Nerd! More Vegas!
Needing those 500 points fast, I started hitting the $10 Max Bet Cash Machine.
I had one decent hit for $100, but lost $200 on it. Which I got back in spades playing $5 Top Dollar. $425 offer? I'll take that!
You get $10 in free play for signing up. After getting 100 points, you get between $10-$1,000 more. I got $25, which isn't bad. Everything I can see about their rewards program is top shelf. And possibly the best in Vegas.
Mission accomplished, and I sucked at the tournament. 2 chances, and the best I can do was 27th place. BUT, with only 160 other players. This is a good shot at some real money. Seeing as I played 30MIN before it closed for the day. That would be a 1 in 16 chance to win at least $200. Great odds for sure.
Still up from that Top Dollar hit, I head out to explore my new environment. It sure is pretty in here!
With no decent wins to share, I lost that "Up" money from earlier. I hit about $2,000 of coin in. And flipped my free play. It should be $1,000 + $10 (New Member) + $25 for doing 100 points. But instead of $1,035 I have $1,020. Whatever. I started out doing $1 Denom Deuces Wild. But that was taking too long, and I flipped to $2 Denom $10 max bets.
It was the right move, as I turned their $1,020 into my $1,185!
Played that down to a grand and cashed out. Was up and down for the next hour or so. $170 on Wheel of Fortune.
And a pitiful $272 on a $10 bonus from Bull Blitz. I knew I'd get fucked, once one of my coins turned over for the $750 major. They don't just give that away easily.
I get the "Are you done dicking around" text. And the 3 ladies come down for something to eat. I did mean to check out their new Hall of Excellence. Tom Brady has some kind of ownership in this place. And they have a bunch of his stuff on display. Same with Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and so on.
But it was $35 each to get in. And from what I heard online, they hand out free tickets all the time to club members. So I will bide my time and wait for it to be free for me.
The food court was a bust at 9PM. Most places were already closed. Including the 2 we knew were Gluten Free for the youngest. This was a common thread here. Places all had weird hours. One of the places we wanted to do for dinner, closed at 3PM. The food court is a crap shoot, as they seem to close at random. To be honest, there isn't a whole lot that we eat here anyway.
We ended up at Chez Bon Bon which was at least open 24/7. My oldest with her bow tie puffed pastry. Bow ties are all over this place. I guess its their signature. The dresser drawers had bow tie handles. The carpets, the phones all of it bow tie flavored.
Girls fed, I walk them back to the elevators so I can at least get my $10K Coin In.
An OK $182 bonus on Dancing Drums. Great "Nudge" bonus on Quick Hits for $378. And a shit $108 hit, which looked like it should have been a handpay on my $9.00 bet. On this respin game.
$150 here, $100 there. And I am doing OK all things considered. They have a great assortment of slots. A real 180 departure from the MGM casinos I am used to. Where all their joints seem to have the exact same set of slots. Nothing changes but the scenery when you casino hop there. Night and day difference at FB.
I had lost the $1K in free play money I converted by now. And was starting to chew into my actual bankroll. When I completely fucked up this new (to me) Dracula game for $812! I unlocked all 3 levels with added multipliers to each win. And they worked in conjunction with each other. IE $50 Minor 2 x plus 5 X = 10 X and $500 on that alone.
And I had seen Vegas Matt play this train game, and I kept plugging away at it as the perceived progression on the bonus meter was ready to pop. I know only suckers fall for that, yet here I am.
$194 bonus was good. But the $671 one was better! $1443 TITO, and I am back up a grand for the trip! They bonus meter never hit BTW.
I was looking for an ATM to cash out at, and this High Voltage game caught my eye. $126 bonus was Meh. But I gave it a few more spins, after upping my bet to $9.00. And landed a $600 line hit! FB is just shitting out money! One last $100 hit on Top Dollar and my $10K coin-in was secured.
I'd like to say I won after all that, but it was a break even for me. Well, I lost the $1000 in converted free play. But thats more their money then mine.
11PM Vegas time is 1AM Chicago time. And I am pooped. Being Wednesday night, the casino was fairly crowded. As was the elevators to get back up to the room.
Day one in the books, and I still have all my money. I can really make a go of it tomorrow!
Day 2, Thursday
Per usual, my body still thinks I am in Chicago. And my internal alarm goes off at 6AM, which is 4AM Vegas time. I try my best to sleep. But Vegas is a calling. Shower up and head down. I am in the casino by 5AM. I did get to watch them polish all that marble and clean the carpets. Which as it turns out, is done each morning. So I will learn.
Well, my money isn't going to lose itself! I donked off a few hundred bucks farting around. Before I found this awesome Coin Caper game. $131 bonus, followed by a $292 bonus and lastly a $175 bonus. All my money back, and I was now up a couple hundred.
And Bam! Finally got Pinball to pay. $575 bonus! Why have I ever played anywhere else except for here?
The casino starts to show some signs of life around 6AM. I will give them credit, all last night and even early today. They have plenty of cocktail waitresses walking around. So staffing is not an issue, unlike across the street at Resorts World.
Feeling brave about all these bigger wins. And with so many new games all around me. I start playing shit I wouldn't otherwise play. Like this Barnyard game. All rather shit bonuses considering my bet. But they did come pretty frequently. Still a loser overall.
Then I start to crap out. $99 on Wheel, $200 on Dragon 1 and $161 on Dragon 2 are just consolation prizes. As I lost all the "Up" money, and almost a grand of my own by now.
I started chasing a bit, and outside these three $100ish wins. The FB seemed to be done with me.
I was down about $1300 when the girls woke up. Today we will be dining at a place called Vida. It looked good online.
The space was nice. The menu seemed decent. Pricey, but Vegas is. The youngest had GF avocado toast with eggs. The other kid had some Nutella and pistachio french toast, which was excellent. I had the Vida breakfast, 2 eggs 2 sausage 2 pancakes and hash browns. The hash browns were super disappointing. It was the size of a hockey puck, cold, dry as fuck and tasteless. The wife had a yogurt parfait.
$150 for that, and we all left hungry still. As the portions were kinda small. Boo this place!
We are staying literally across the street from Circus Circus. You can see their front door, from our front door.
The kids love that place. But we all agree no one wants to actually stay in that shit hole. When we used to stay at Resorts World, it was a pretty easy walk over as well. Now, its even easier.
It actually smelled kinda good in here today. Maybe because it was 11AM, and none of the smoking truckers and hookers that frequent here were up just yet.
They all have to go take a piss, and I shove $40 into Phoenix Link. First Spin bonus for $110! We are here to do the Adventuredome. Which was running an online promo of half off. For the first time ever, we all got ride passes. And after this win, those passes were now free!
We were the first people to walk in on. Being a Thursday morning in the dead of August, that's no shocker. $30 for all day ride passes is a good deal. $60, the normal price. Not so much. As there really isn't a ton to do in here.
I wont bore you all with a play by play. But it turns out, my big old ass just isn't built to do rides anymore. My back started hurting after the bumper cars. Then my neck after the Roadrunner. We only spent about 2 hours in here, but agreed to come back later as they wanted to get some pool time in at FB.
But not until after I go fuck Resort World.
I have a difficult relationship with them. My host there is sort of condescending. My free play went from $1,000 down to $600 and that went down to $250. I was told they were cutting back on player redevelopment. I did reach out to my host there, and told her I cant stay anywhere in Vegas for $250 in free play and $50 in resort credit. Not when other places give me 3 to 4 times more for my play. She agreed to bump my free play to $500. But $50 is the most I can eat with. I mean, she tried keeping me.
Fuck them. I am a Fontainebleau (spell check is zero help with this BTW) guy now. I am going to burn my comps and move on from them.
$250 in free play flipped in to $265 "real" money. $50 spent on tacos in the food court. And we head out of their completely empty casino. And I mean, not a soul in there except for me stealing from them. At 1PM on a Thursday. They cant be doing very good. Not after FB opened up, and sucked all the players willing to stay on this end of the Strip away from them.
Earlier in the day, my host texted me to say she felt bad about the room we were in. And that she has been working on a suite. We ended up dropping by the hosts office to see her, and hand her a "Thank You" card. I have known her for years, but never actually got to meet her in person. Today was the day!
She was every bit as shocked to see me, being 6' tall 275 #'s. Tank top and tattoos. As I was to see her, all 4 foot nothing tall. She's great! She said to check in after the Circus, to give her time to do her thing.
My youngest took one of her tacos to go.
They head back up to the room to pack. And I slip $100 into this wheel game by the elevators. Sure, I told them I was heading straight for VIP to get the new room keys. But its been a good hour since I played, and a junky needs his fix.
It was the right move. $465 win. And after I stole $265 from Resorts and $110 from the clowns. I am only down like $500 on the trip.
The new room was awesome! Not the biggest suite we have had. But very well appointed and laid out. They even set up a roll-away bed for the kids.
We now have a proper dining room as well, as these animals love room service.
I let them get settled, and run down to do the slot tourney again. And... I fucked up once more. Not even top 10 out of 40 people.
I play on, and land some OK hits. $300 Quick Hits was a good bonus. Cougar Cash had a must hit by progressive that starts at $150 and must hit by $200. And yet somehow I popped the fucking thing at just $155.
From there, I went on tilt. I was bleeding money. No rhyme no reason. I just couldn't catch a break, and was down a grand fast.
I thought for sure I just pulled a rabbit out my ass, and hit for $5,000 on this stupid older slot. It sure looked like I got all 3 Double symbols. But I guess one of them was a different color? Turned out to be $40 X 8 = $320. But I sure got excited for a good 40 seconds until the credit meter stopped around $300.
And then, I enforced the shit out of things. I landed the bonus with almost all the sticky wilds on my first spin. I was just racking up hundreds with each play. By my last spin, I was sure I just got my first handy of the trip! But it crapped out at $1,094. Still. Back to even now!
I cash that $1,100 TITO out since I simply cant be trusted. $353 bonus on Kyoto. I played on. $488 bonus. I played on. $135 bonus. And I just took $600 off this one. Did I mention this was a good casino? I mean, the proof is in the pudding. I am getting a ton of play and seemingly a lot of big hits.
I cashed that $700 TITO out as well, and my wallet was now back to full. No reason why I even played this game. $6.25 bet, and I landed a hold and spin bonus. But with the major worth $187.50 on its own. I went into the bonus with a combined ball worth $262.50. But it didn't hold and spin me. It went into some weird round, where I either landed another ball worth $262.50 or I didn't.
By the time the smoke cleared, I landed 9 balls for $2,362.50! Now I am up a few grand!
I have to say, they are fast getting you paid here. Within a few minutes of my light flashing, someone was there to take my info. And I was being paid less than 10 minutes later. She even apologized for the delay. What delay? I guess being a first time jackpot winner, it added a few minutes.
She didn't actually hand pay me. She just handed me the money, I handed her $42.50 as a tip. And that was that. No counting it into my hand, which is always fun but never necessary. As they have a few people count that money before it gets to you.
I still had just over a hundo in the machine, which I fed into Zoltar next door for an absolute shit bonus win of $104 on a $9.00 max bet.
Here is another new game to me. I was landing these respin bonuses hand over fist. Only worth $100-$200 each, and I was hardly ever up any money after each one. But I also wasn't really losing either. And grinding up points pretty fast.
Speaking of which, somewhere along the way I leveled up a tier in their players club. I am now Silver, which means I get $100 in dining credit and 10% more free play from my points. Which is solid, considering it takes around $25,000 coin in on the slots to move up in the club. My next move up is at 40,000 tier credits. Which is about $135,000 coin in. And a considerable jump in play.
One last hit of $110, before I get the "We are coming down" text from the Bleu Girl Group.
Back to Circus Circus and back to some rides. This time, I am much more of a spectator.
This Sponge Bob ride was an extra fee. $20 each to ride it. I cant pay that much, when its $30 each for all day ride passes in the actual Dome. So we just shopped the gift shop.
Back home, and while we had a fancy dinner all planned out. They would rather hang out in the suite and order room service. Which is exactly what we did. And even for the inflated prices they charge for that, it was still cheaper than breakfast at Vida. And a whole lot better as well.
By now, I am just under a couple grand of doing $15,000 coin in on the day. So I head back down for an hour or so, to push for that. After sinking a few hundred into Rembrandt Riches, I finally get a decent line hit of $250. But overall, this one was a loser for me
But Dollaroo wasn't! This one kinda fucked me. As I was riding out $1,180 until the very last ball of $20, which triggered the handpay. Still, hard to bitch about winning $1,200. And true to form, this pay was even faster than the first. And again, no hand count. Just hand the money, take the tip, and wished me good luck. She even joked, she hoped to see me soon.
Every interaction we have had with any FB staff has been exceptional. Friendly, polite and just seem to be happy people. They even do the Disney point with 2 fingers, which I like for some reason.
By that point, I had 10,774 Play Points. Which should be $2.50 coin = 1 point. And $26,935 coin in. I have to do some math, as the 10% kicked in around the 7500 tier credit mark. But safe to say I have played through $15K today. And $25K since I checked in less than 24 hours ago.
The wife wants me to send her gelato options from Bon Bon. As they wanted a midnight snack. Plenty to choose from. And they were great washing the scoop and such, to make sure it stayed gluten free.
One last game for the day, and add $231 more to my pile.
By now, I am up like $3,000 for the trip. With nothing between me and a winning trip. Besides one more day of play, and my own potential stupidity.
Day 3, Friday
Last full day in Vegas. I had given the wife all of my original bankroll money, so I cant fuck anything up. At worse, I just lose the money I won. Which isn't the best option. But certainly on the table. That would mean a free Vegas trip.
This time, I manage to sleep until 7AM Vegas time. Which is pretty late for me. And it seems the slots have a few shoppers walking around already.
The below I am completely ashamed of. As I know better. But I saw this Wheel of Fortune poker machine, and it was only missing a few letters to complete the puzzle and giving me a wheel spin. I plugged $300 into this bitch before I finally completed it. And my win? A spin worth $35. In my face!
I was still getting bonuses, they were just kinda shitty. $10 bet and a $205 win on Helen of Troy. $7.50 bet on Martians with 15 free games and retriggers. For only $119 is insulting. And even my Caper game took awhile to bonus. And that was only worth $111.
DItto these two, as I was way more into them before eventually getting something out. Not much to report, outside of me slowly bleeding through my winnage.
This first one was a complete shit show. $13.20 bet, and a $100 bonus. Toros put up a fight, and I had 3 spins of almost winning the Grand to go with the $280 win. And Monopoly let me play for a bit, with a $125 spin the best I had to show for it.
By now its 8AM and I head into VIP. Which up until now, has just been good for stealing cookies and waters out of. They had mini muffins, and I took a few of those.
Some OK wins after the muffin snatch. $146. $205 and $142. This casino is very well laid out. They put slots in different nooks and crannies. Which becomes a moment of discovery when you find a new game in a place you didn't think even had slots. Which I much prefer over Resorts World, where all games are pretty much in one big rectangle.
But being on day 3 here now, the casino feels a bit smaller than day 1. As I certainly have the lay of the land down by now.
A couple other wins, by the time I get the "we are hungry" text from the crew. $277.50 on House of Dragons might be my biggest win ever on that chunk of shit.
I got a couple hours in, but it cost me like a Grand. It happens. El Bagel for breakfast, with a line a mile deep. As its the only place open right now, outside of Vida and Bon Bon.
Bagel guy was good. All 4 of us got bagel sandwiches for $50. And it was better and more filling than Vida, at a third of the price.
I take one last stab in the casino, before changing into my suit for a swim. $352 on Jewel of the Dragon was awesome. $100 on a $7.50 bet playing Platinum, not so much.
I thought for sure this one would be more. $9.00 max bet, 2 pointers on the wheel. With each paying double. $275 is $275, and it helped cut down on my morning loses. But so much potential left on that spin.
The pool complex is nice! Plenty of chairs around 11AM. But it was super windy. They were yelling at folks who dared to open up an umbrella, as those things were flying all over the place. Like a Mary Poppins Convention.
Speaking of Conventions. They had to have some kind of Furry Convention in town. As I saw a lot of people in furry animal costumes, or at the very least. With tails or paws as shoes. Kinda weird. But I didn't want to be a dick and take pictures of them. Even though its fair game, if they choose to walk around in the wild like that.
The below is one of the tables that got blown over in the wind storm. This one, had a fresh charcuterie board of fruits placed on it to no avail. Free grapes I guess. Just rinse them in the pool first.
Here is another embarrassing moment. I got caught up chasing the must hit by free games on this stupid thing. $9.00 bets, and the big one of 15 free games with a 10 X multiplier was only 2 games away. The medium one for 15 and 5 X was 3 away. I got a line hit of $150. Then eventually got the lower 8 games X 2 to hit for just $114. Finally got the medium to hit at 13 games X 5 for $254. But then the fucking game was just back-filling the 6 and 8 games, instead of the 14 games for the big 10X. One last $125 win, and I ended up dropping $500 in this one chasing the progressive games. I knew enough to walk away... Eventually.
Last slot tourney of the trip, and yet another not top 10 finish. Oh well, I tried. Still a great value add if you are playing here.
And I thought for sure this would be better than $103! Almost the entire middle bank all wild, but nothing connected for 5 of a kind.
I tag the wife in, to come get a players club card. At the very least, she will get $10 for joining. At least $10 for getting 100 points ($250 coin in) and one slot tournament play. She came in 43rd, so another skunk for our team. But a tremendous value for a new player promo.
Kids rested from the pool, and we head over to Circus Circus for a third time this trip. This time, to play in their Midway. Friday afternoon, and the casino was hopping over here at FB!
I have to admit, even though I hardly ever play here. Their casino sure looks fucking fun! They just have nothing I'd want comped. Do they even have suites? Or do their whales just get to stay on the top floor of the motel complex?
They each got $20 to piss away in the arcade. The upside was, it kept them busy for an hour. The downside was, it took them an hour in the prize redemption area to pick out what crap they wanted.
Back to FB, and another round of room service. The plan for tonight, is to do their Oasis Cinema Club. This we were all pretty excited for. Online, they show popcorn carts and candy stations. Movie screens and a DJ. Pretty cool. If you aren't staying here, its $10 to get in. Not sure I am a fan of that.
Today's movie is Minecraft. Seen it but like it. They showed Moana 2 the week before. And next week is some Marvel movie. So at least they show some good stuff.
But, it was more hype than anything. No candy, sodas or popcorn stands. Just a bar. No DJ, and only 1 screen. I mean, its free for us. But we left half way through, as it wasn't what we hoped for. And the sound was horrible. You couldn't really watch the movie, as you couldn't hear anything over the people there.
I did manage to go back down and play some. Yesterday, I did $15K coin in on the slots and ended up winning $3K. Today, I did $15K on the slots and ended up losing that $3K. You just never know which side of variance you will get shit out of.
Day 4, Saturday
Last morning in Vegas. I confirmed with my host that we are all rated on a per trip basis and not per day. So it doesn't hurt at all to play on check in or out day. As the moment you get your room key, to the moment you turn that back in. You are on the clock.
No Wheel of Fortune Poker for me. I learned my lesson. Just good Old Fashion poker. I did not see this one coming. $100 is $100. But those that play VP know this isn't easy to do.
I don't plan on going crazy today. I already ran through over $40,000 on their slots. I am just happy not being thousands of dollars behind. I start playing small ball. As I am only gambling, since they are all still asleep in the room. I end up doing OK. And the morning was mostly a push.
By the time I get back up to the room, its alive with activity. I don't know why, but my stuff likes to save fancy paper bags. We do absolutely nothing with them at home. Beyond stacking them up in a corner. Not sure if this is an Asian thing, a woman thing or just a my stuff being weird thing. But its always been a thing.
I grab the youngest to go get bagels, while the other two pack. I ended up with almost $200 in point play and another almost $200 in resort credit based on my play. Not too shabby!
Check out at VIP, and they put my $100 tier celebration dining credit against one of the room service tabs. We had already burned the $350 credit, and my host covered the overflow. By the time we settled the account, our Limo driver was texting me that he was outside. He too, as it turns out. Came from Wynn.
Not sure if it was just perfect timing, or if their system is just set up for this or not. But it worked out well.
We had an hour to kill before our flight, so we farted around in their mini museum. I don't think I have ever been up here before. As the Limo dropped us outside of Zero, where cabs usually dump us out front. It was a nice surprise.
We will definitely stay at FB again. The casino is great, the slot selection has to be top 5 on the Strip. Their club program has to be the best in Vegas. And the property overall is gorgeous.
But it has the same issues we had when we stayed at Rio or Resort Worlds. Where it didn't feel like a "Vegasy" trip. No Bellagio Fountains, no Forum Shoppes, no Hello Kitty Cafe. All of the stuff that has become a Vegas staple of ours over the years. That is not to say we didn't have fun. But the next time we will probably do 2 nights with MGM and 2 nights at FB. Just so we can taste both sides of the Strip.
