Bellagio Resort & Casino Las Vegas

Bellagio Resort & Casino Las Vegas. What you need to know!

The Grid Report

Gambling!

They boast over 2,200 gambling machines in 155,000 Square Feet of casino excitement.

With 218 table & Poker Games mean you can find everything you want. Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, Baccarat, Craps, Let it Ride, Roulette etc. They also have Mini-Baccarat, Let-it-Ride, Pai Gow Poker and more. It’s the strip, if their neighbor has it, they have it!

One of the finest casinos in Las Vegas. Built by Steve Wynn and still breathe taking today. The Bellagio Gardens are wildly popular, and usually packed. The change the garden seasonally and its always free to get in. Lately there have been free musicians performing for a few hours every day. Adding even more elegance to the joint.

The lobby in itself is a cant miss attraction as well. From the blown glass ceiling to the mirrored horse it seems like quite a popular meeting spot. With that said, pick a new spot! So many people crowd in here it’s pretty hard to find your party.

Although the place belches class I have never felt out of place. Sure some of the snootier people might frown upon my antics but no one has ever told me to stop. Maybe it’s the blood thirsty look in my eyes, or the fact they are used to dealing with idiots.

What’s to eat?

Bellagio is fancy. And if you are not you wont want to eat here. Sure you can grab some pretty decent grub at Café Bellagio on the casino floor, but outside of stealing a few sugar packets from Olives you are pretty much left out here. No worries, you can always take the free monorail over to Monte Carlo for some cheap eats.

Funny Story

We ate at Fix one night. I liked it. Not nearly as much as the wife did. Kobe Beef sliders were good. Really just a meatball on a tiny muffin. If we were in Chicago I'd never cough up $30.00 for 4 of these things. But comped on vacation, why not? They have these weird mac & cheese sticks with truffle oil to dip. It was OK. But the Kobe Beef chili cheese fries. Simply delightful! They brought them out stacked up like a jenga game. You pull out the fries and put the chili on yourself. A little pitcher of cheese and you are set. No pictures of food. I like to pretend I belong in a fancy joint. I could only imagine the wife's embarrassment if I took a picture of our food. Plus we were pretty much the only people in there. I did everything I was supposed to do to act fancy. I put on a nice shirt, took off my sunglasses, held in every fart, put my napkin on my lap. Really tried to act like a grown up for the wife. But they have a team of servers for you. And since we were the entire restaurant they were all over us with constant water refills and such. When they took away our plates when we were done, one of the walked over with some wet towels. I thought "I know this one! I saw it in a movie; they give you the wet towels to clean your hands like Robert Downey JR did in Ironman!" So when he got near me I went to snatch them from him, but he really just wanted to wipe down the table. So I pimped it off.

To simplify your selection the following have been rated for value.

As Vegas eateries change almost hourly you might want to double check if these places are still in operation. This blog is very lazy with updates...

Cheap (reasonably priced for what you get). ‘Bout what you’d expect (if you don’t understand this you should stick to McDonalds). Holy Shit! (Unless you are used to your bill looking like your phone number stay away)

In no particular. And I’m not going to rate them, just know you better bring your pocket book if you want to dine with the finer folks out there. Café Bellagio is a great option for lower class people like me if you get hungry. Pretty much everything on here ranges from pricey to Holy Shit. So you have been warned.

Hotel

3,900 rooms at Bellagio

The Room Basics

The rooms here are top notch, great large bathrooms, with plenty of marble. Separate shower and a nice soaking tub. Although I learned the hard way not to put shampoo in a Jacuzzi tub, learn from my mistakes and don’t fart around with such magic. Most all of the rooms have recently been remodeled and we were given a lakeview blue room. It was beyond nice. The room itself was great and still smelled nice, but the lake view made our trip. Pay the extra money to see the fountain show from the comfort of your room. Each room comes with 2 chairs, so line them up by the window, tune to the fountain channel on your TV and enjoy the music from the show, in time, on the stereo system in your room. It will make your trip!

What you need to know.

Bellagio is not cheap, and if you use your hotel room just as a place to crash, save your money and stay at Ballys across the street. Its central Strip location is a huge time saver and a great springboard for seeing the rest of the Strip. We hear the art museum is nice, but once I heard they didn’t even have one dogs playing poker print in there I passed on going in.

In closing:

Bellagio is one of the nicest, finest, brightest, cleanest and any est you want to add joints in town. The free monorail that will get you to City Center, Aria and Monte Carlo is pretty convent to get to from inside the resort. The casino is very comfortable with plenty of plush seats at the slots and lots of action at the tables. Of all the casinos in town, surprisingly we always do well here. If you have the money Bellagio ranks at the top of my must stay at list.

What else you need to know?

They do have a Spa & a wedding chapel but that is about it. The pool on the other hand is great! Surprising since the rest of the resort is nice, but rather bland. Walk to the back of the resort and you can peep in on all the happy swimmers and see for yourself.

Major attractions.

The Bellagio Fountains. Water dancing to music seems pretty lame. Until you see it! There is a good reason that this show stops traffic on Las Vegas Blvd every time it goes off. You cant help but rubber neck at the bursting jets synchronized perfectly to some of the greatest hits around. Best of al, its free!

Cirque De Soleil “O” A wonder for the senses. The theater itself is like a giant aquarium, the things they do in and out of the giant pool they call a stage must be seen to be believed. I wont write anymore on it, since you have to see this show!

What did a hundo get us?

We played through five $20.00 bills on various machines. If we bet $1.00 a spin, we give em 20 spins and cash out. $2.00 per spin is 10 spins. If you can’t wrap your brain around this math, please do not gamble. I am sure this test of the slots is insanely scientific. But your actual millage may vary.

1st machine: Double Top Dollar. $2.00 max bet. Cashed out with $0.00. Major hit none, not even a cherry

2nd machine: Jungle VIP. $1.25 Max Bet. Cashed out with $170.20 Major hit none. Bonus game, a ton of free games.

3rd machine: Spin & Win. $1.25 Max bet. Cashed out with $20.00 Major hit Instant Spin for 70 quarters.

4th machine: Spin & Win. $3.00 Max Bet. Cashed out with $6.00 Major hit triple bars on the lat payline, it was our only hit.

5th machine Spin & Win. $3.00 Max Bet. Cashed out with $9.00 Major hit none, Instant Pay $50.00

Total results. Turning $100.00 into $205.20 in 30 minutes seemed pretty easy. Assuming my math is correct, everyone that plays at the Bellagio is bound to end up filthy rich! I told you guys I always do well here!
