SSBC Performance Brake System - Front Disk Brake Conversion Kit
Added vacuum assistance booster
Kept 5 X 4" bolt pattern - so all wheels/rims would match
Needed to replace 9" front spindles with 10" spindles (used from Mopar City)
Needed to buy 15" rims - for clearance - found at Summit/Wheel Vintiques
Upgraded to 15" rims (but kept the original 5 bolt pattern of the 14" hubs) - to accommodate front disk breaks (see above) - Summit/Wheel Vintiques
Replaced existing intake and exhaust manifold (broken) with upgrades from Aussie Speed. Headers were adapted onsite (Bernie's Welding) to maintain existing 3 speed/"3 on the tree" setup
Replaced original AM Radio (single front dash speaker) with a 1974 Cassette Deck (from a Duster - donated and installed by Paul Smith) - 4 speakers - including 2 front speakers in kicker panels
Converted original 2 belt setup (lap and shoulder) to a combo retractable style
Original bumpers did not have guards - added to help protect rechromed bumpers and to mimic look of the 72 Valiant used in the movie "Duel"
Original radiator had a simple overflow line and no catch tank. Added a 1 qt., round, polyethylene, "natural" color, bottle/tank with 1/4 in. hose barb Inlet. Mount bracket was custom, but used existing holes in radiator area. Also installed a section of bug screen between frame and front of radiator fins/intake. Used radiator mount holes to secure.
