Returning to the adiabatic transition to flat top experiment, we obtained more promising results with transition times below 1ms. In fact a transition time of 0.1 ms may be better than the non-adiabatic case (we will look at the results offline). We also had a look at increasing dT, which defines the initial rf phase, from 0.5 ms to 1ms. The bunch monitor data looks very similar between the two cases. Finally, we tried setting up the rf pattern to keep the bucket area constant throughout acceleration (V and f were varied, phi_s and the bucket area were fixed). Initial results look good.
