Phase jump

The experiment aims to study the differences for different resonance crossing speeds with and without phase jump.

The first run is a sanity check, with nominal rf pattern. Then the optimum phase jump timing and amplitude are evaluated with David's scripts. The best timing and amplitude are evaluated from the integrated value (black curve), and gives good results regarding A phase jump of -27 deg at 0.124 ms after injection seems to give the best results. A systematic of 10 shots gives an average of 25.9 deg at 0.13 ms after the injection, but the variance is bigger than the difference chosen before, so the first value is kept for the phase jump. For every setting, 10 different sets of data (each from an average of 512 signals) are taken.
