Effective RF voltage measurement
To measure the effective RF voltage in the Main Ring, we rampe the synchronous phase (phi_s) and measure when the beam is lost, which is when real phi_s=90deg. The effective voltageV is sin(phi_s). RF patterns with a linear ramp of theoretical phi_s up to 90 deg and with different durations are used.
Adiabaticity
(Note - the following was added in January 2023) A debunching/rebunching study was conducted at 14MeV and 45 (48?) MeV for debunching times in the range 0.1 - 10 ms. After rebunching the beam was accelerated again. The experiment is described here
https://ffag.pp.rl.ac.uk/FFAG/colabo/meetings/2020/machida20200123.pdf
There the data is listed in the file 191213_adiabaticity.rtf
e.g.
adiab5_0.1-1-2-2 means the debunch ramp time is 0.1ms (14 MeV).
adiab5_1-1-2-2 means the debunch ramp time is 1ms (14MeV).
adiab5_1-1-2-2_45mev means the debunch ramp time is 1ms (45MeV or 48MeV?).
