Kesd is a planet stayed at the Bronze Age Technology development.
It is an arid planet with almost only desert but some large rivers meander its surface. Human Civilizations were able to adapt to this conditions for agriculture.
The predictable flooding and controlled irrigation of those fertile valleys produce surplus of crops, which supports a more dense population, and social development and culture. With resources to spare, the administration sponsors mineral exploitation of the surrounding desert regions, the development of an independent writing system (called hieroglyphs) , the organization of collective construction and agricultural projects, trade or war with surrounding valleys.
Motivating and organizing these activities is a bureaucracy of elite scribes, religious leaders, and administrators under the control of a Pharaoh, who ensured the cooperation and unity of each valley people in the context of an elaborate system of religious beliefs.
The many achievements of those civilizations include the quarrying, surveying and construction techniques that supported the building of monumental pyramids, temples, and obelisks; a system of mathematics, a practical and effective system of medicine, irrigation systems and agricultural production techniques, ships, faience and glass technology, new forms of literature.
The Imperium Government of Kesd lives on an orbital space station, and does not interfere with the surface.
Even Imperium Creed is not promoted to its inhabitant which are able to keep their original faith.
Only after a particular violent battle between Valleys, the "Gods", as the Kesd people called the Imperium Officials, land on its surface and take the best soldiers to pay the Imperium Tithe.
Thematic Terrain:
Kesd is mostly a desert, with some fertile river and oasis. All of its building shared the Old-Earth Egyptian Civilization Architecture Style.
Warzone Traits:
Archaic Communication System:
Kesd is an archaic planet without any proper system of communication. Moreover, for an unknown reason, all means of communications through distance are scrambled.
Even Warp Telepathy is perturbed.
In a battle on Kesd, the following rules apply:
You can not modify the roll for Seize the Initiative
You can not modify any roll for Reserve
Any rules that target a friendly model or unit, have they range reduced to a maximum of 9".
Rules that target any friendly units or models have their ranges reduce to 9".
A Rule that targets all friendly units or models, are replaced by all units at 9" of the model with the rule. The Effects are lost if the unit becomes out of range.
If a rule targets a unit or a model before the deployment, then this unit must be at 9" of the model giving the rule during the deployment. The Effects are lost if the unit becomes out of range.
A model with a Rule that modify another unit deployment (ex: giving Scout, Infiltration, Outflank or Deep Strike, etc) does not work in Kesd.
In this case, If the rule is given by a Warlod Trait, the Warlord Trait can be reroll.
Rules affecting its own units do not have their ranges reduce.

Type: Maiden World
Alcantis Dalet Kab is enduring a Daemon Invasion from unknown source. Sporadic but tenacious Warp Portal opens on seemingly random places.
Type: Dead Shrine World
Background: Previously known as Edenia Kab. It has been conquered by Imperium 2000 years ago, against Exodite Eldar. At the end of the battle, what was a paradise planet, stopped its rotation for unknown reason and became a dead planet.
Now, Decapolis is tidally locked with its star, so that the Decapolis day is the same as the Decapolis year. As the planet does not rotate on its axis this means that like Luna , one-half of the planet is bathed in perpetual darkness and the other half burnt to a cinder by the glaring sun. This unusual planetological characteristic makes Decapolis a truly miserable world to live upon. The planet's lack of rotation prevents any strong winds from developing due to the lack of a Coriolis Effect and as such the atmosphere is thick and dark.
It includes a Shrine to Saint-Marduk that is said to create Miracle.
Warzone Traits:
Depending on which zones, the battle take place, Decapolis Environment will be different.

Center of Decapolis
The Center of Decapolis is thin band between its dark side and its burned side. It's the only inhabitable zone of the planet. Imperium Settlement can be found.
