Henry Pattison, Jr. Memorial Station
The club shack is located in Room 303 of the Old Engineering building. Our small antenna "farm" is located right above the shack on the roof.
Our club shack is dedicated in honor of Henry Pattison, Jr. W7EFV (SK).
HF Capabilities
Our main HF rig is an Elecraft K3 with a P3 Panadapter. Our HF antennas include a multiband yagi covering 20m to 6m. We also have an off-center fed dipole that works well on 80, 40, 20, and 10m.
Our computer runs software packages for the various digital modes, such as FT8/FT4, PSK31, RTTY, SSTV, Olivia, and WSPR.
VHF/UHF Capabilities
Additionally, we own a Yaesu G-5500 used for satellite communications. It is attached to a 3D rotor system and a 4-element VHF dual-polarization yagi and an 8-element UHF dual-polarization yagi.
Club Repeater
The shack also houses the club repeater.
Experimental Radio Station
The experimental radio station can be used for a variety of modes, operations, and experiments, including but not limited to experimenting with SDRs and image transmission.
Repair Bench
If you happen to have a radio in need of some TLC, the club also features a workbench. Equipment includes a Siglent Technologies 30 MHz two-channel function generator and a 200 MHz two-channel scope, two Weller soldering irons, a capacitance meter, and much more.
Report a Problem
If you experience problems operating the station equipment, please report it to the Station Manager as soon as possible.
