33 Weeks

I'm really beginning to see the pregnancy finish line. Just a few more weeks and we get to meet our daughter face-to-face! This week of pregnancy had some rough patches of not feeling well and lots of insomnia resulting from it. I'm happy to say that after discontinuing some medicine, I'm feeling relief from the worst side effects. We saw the doctor and she is very insistent on me not doing much more than sitting around at any given time or place. She actually gave Jim a verbal prescription to "Yell" at me if I'm not sitting still or to use a wheelchair if I should go to a store. I think the wheelchair is where I draw the line, ha-ha. Jim has been fabulous and helpful during this bed rest time. He has cooked me delicious homemade gluten free meals/soups to eat now, to freeze for my hospital stay, and for C-section recovery time. He is genuinely thoughtful and I do appreciate him so much. He's a caring and devoted husband and he's going to be a fantastic Daddy. I love you, Jim.

We got to spend time with Dad & Mom going to a car show. We didn't stay long since I have a lot of contractions if I'm on my feet for too long, but I LOVED getting out of the house and getting some fresh air. I needed it. Likewise, Mom helped me put the finishing touches on Briella's nursery by putting up some wall art that I ordered. Had she not helped me do it and with how slow I'm moving these days, it would have seriously taken me at least a week. Jim and I are so blessed to have Dad & Mom's help at almost any moment of our lives. In fact, Dad is already offering to help Jim paint our bedroom just so that Jim doesn't have to do it alone this weekend. They are very sweet and genuine to care to help us so much and we can't ever say thank you enough but here's one more: THANK YOU! Briella is going to be one very fortunate little girl to have such awesome grandparents as you both!

Jim and I reluctantly joined Facebook this week. After being asked and told to join by just about everyone we talk to or know, we made a joint account thinking that once Briella arrives that the time I have to dedicate to this web site will become less and less and having the ability to do quick pictures and posts straight from our phones may just be the easier way to share our life with others. As of right now, I still feel more loyalty to this web site but we'll see how having both goes. Don't be surprised if Facebook slowly takes the place of this web site, sadly to say, once Briella does arrive. Briella is doing well and it's only 3 and a half more weeks until she is born. I keep looking at Chloe & Zoe, our cats, wondering how they will react to her coming home since they have been the "babies" (and very spoiled and attended to) for a very long time. Just like any other family/household, I'm sure it will all work out fine.
