Briella's nursery is officially complete this week. Jim assembled the crib and her changing dresser over the weekend. My Mom made us some food and Dad & Mom helped with the crib's finishing touches as well as helping to move her glider from the living room up to her room. I absolutely love having her room all done. It just seems surreal that in only a month she will be here! I constantly feel this very excited nervousness to meet our daughter. I dream about Briella quite often but I NEVER see her face in my dreams; it's always blurry. I'm sure that's partly to do with the fact that she is always hiding her face from us during her ultrasounds. We have ONE more ultrasound at the end of this month so I'm really hopeful she will give us a 3D preview of her cute face before she's born.
There's not much else to report since bed rest is fairly boring and uneventful. I still have contractions, but I know the bed rest is ultimately helping. I've included a picture of what it looks like for me to bed rest: lots of pillows, warm rice pads on my back and my upper stomach (because I have chronic stomach aches and back pain), wrist brace for my carpal tunnel, a baby book for reading, and often times; Zoe and/or Chloe at my feet. I will say that the 'nesting' instincts are definitely kicking in. Sometimes I just look around the room and I want to clean things that I've never thought to clean before. Like when I was in the bathroom and I looked up at the ceiling and noticed dust on the vent fan and I had to pull it off the ceiling to clean it. Now it's clean and I'm weirdly relieved. Jim and I have purged a lot of stuff from our closets, dressers, and kitchen cabinets that we just don't need or use anymore this week and gave it away to the local charity. We've been blessed with so much and it always feels good to give back in some way.
