The past week has been busy and fun all at the same time. Last week, my colleagues and I took our students on an overnight camping trip to a country cabin near an Amish community. This weekend Jim cleaned up the garage and washed the Shelby. Look at the colorful trees behind our house that bring us such joyful (sarcasm) hours of leaf pick up... ha-ha! We got to spend more time with Nick, Jill, and Noah in celebration of Nick's birthday. Jim and Nick are October Birthday Brothers =) Jill put this picture of me and Noah on her blog and I can't help but love it as well. I mean, look at Noah; he's smiling!
Today was also an eventful day beginning with a follow up interview for a new job that lead to a job offer. It's a great job opportunity and I'll be the MD (Multiple Disability) Teacher for a high school transitional class. I will be teaching the students life skills, work/job skills, academics and taking them into the community for life skills training and job site training. This is exactly what I had envisioned my career as an Intevention Specialist to be doing. I'm extremely excited as well as nervous, but I think that's natural to feel this way.
Jim and I also went to my miscarriage follow up consultation appointment today and we both, along with the doctor, agreed that I should have a procedure done to determine that everything is working okay before trying for another baby since some tests had shown that something didn't look "normal" so hopefully after a quick look, she'll be able to confirm that everything is, indeed, normal. She also took some blood to make sure that I don't have a thyroid disorder since my mom has one and my brother has the anti-body for it. Any prayers you have to offer are always most appreciated. The procedure is this Friday. Our doctor is amazing. She moved around her schedule just to fit this for me so we didn't have to wait until the end of November. I just know God is making things happen just the way they are supposed to happen.
