Overall, this was a good and fast week. Jim and I purchased Briella's crib mattress and diaper genie. We should be getting our Target Registry completion coupon in the mail any day now and we will be able to order the crib and changing bureau. Jim surprised me by ordering a nursery glider and it arrived today. It's very smooth and comfortable and will probably be a chair that I live in for many, many hours of rocking Briella.
I was able to catch up with an old friend, Kellie, from the Christian school I attended through the tenth grade. We had a nice time talking and she gave me a lot of great "Mommy" advice since she has a 9 month old son.
I started back to work today with a teacher's meeting to get prepared for the year of teaching ahead of us. I can't believe that my RELAXING summer break has pretty much come to an end. It's definitely bittersweet because I say goodbye to a very nice summer off of work and say hello to Briella's October due date!
Knowing that I am going to be too busy with work and exhaustion from pregnancy, I drove into Bellevue to have a quick visit with my cousin Maggie to meet her newborn son, Noah and see my Aunt Colleen for the first time in probably two years. If you stay current with my blogs, Maggie's baby shower for Noah was during my 24th week of pregnancy. Noah is a very healthy, beautiful, and precious baby. I enjoyed holding him and spending some time with him. I sat there and rocked him as Maggie took a nap and I thought to myself, soon we will have our daughter in our arms. It almost seems surreal to me.
Aside from all of those things, Briella is moving so much lately. She is pressing her body against my stomach and Jim and I try to guess or assume we know that we are feeling her head, hands, or shoulder. She is still breech and her head is pushing hard against my lung area because I can feel that my breathing is getting strained when I walk or go up/down stairs. It's so remarkable and miraculous that she is growing and developing more each and every day. I know she is growing and trying to maintain and gain weight because this week I have felt an increasing hunger that I have never felt until this time. I'm also starting to feel the third trimester nausea so I know I'm getting closer and closer to her arrival.
