Here are some pictures from week 18. While we were laying around dealing with our colds, Zoe was close by keeping us company. At one point, she came over and propped her body against mine and put her paws out on my stomach as though she was feeling the baby while lovingly looking at me as if to tell me to not forget about her once the baby arrives. It was very sweet. She's been having these moments more and more with us lately. My mom took the picture of me and Jim on Memorial Day as we were visiting them at their house and then another picture of us with Dad while were getting ice cream. Despite us not feeling well, it was another memorable week of pregnancy.
This week was spent feeling less than 100%. Jim came down with a really bad type of sinus virus and I caught the lesser of what he got. We basically spent our 3 day weekend laying around, blowing our noses, eating cough drops, Jim coughing, not being able to breathe, and sleeping for the both of us (he needed it). Luckily, though, we were feeling 'better' by Memorial Day and we were able to get out and spend some time over at Mom & Dad's as well as catching a good clearance sale on Maternity clothes at Old Navy. It really was quite an uneventful week considering that we didn't do much because of how we were feeling. For being a shortened work week, it still kind of felt long; believe it or not. We were just really tired, I think. I was also having a lot of insomnia this week, but I guess this is very normal during pregnancy; even though I've had insomnia issues before pregnancy.
We've really felt blessed by how generous and kind people are to want to help us out with our pregnancy. My parent's neighbors gave us a practically brand new Pack n Play, offered us their barely used car seat, and gave a car seat to my parents. Likewise, we've been offered clothes by a numerous amount of people and continue to get great advice on what to buy and where to buy it. It's only a matter of weeks that we begin creating the baby room. I figure I have all summer to "nest" and get the house ready for a baby. I can't hardly believe that 5 months is right around the corner!
