Daniella writes:This month was a busy one for us. It began with my brother Nick coming up from Pennsylvania for his first visit home since winter. We spent the weekend eating, visiting, setting off fireworks, and going for a boat ride on Chippewa Lake. It was great to visit with Nick! Jim was traveling for his job, working hard, enjoying the Shelby and I was in school every day, all day doing my own set of work. I'm happy to say that as of yesterday, I am officially done with all of my class requirements for my Master's Degree in Special Education! Monday begins my first day of professional development for my new job as a 3rd grade Intervention Specialist. I can't believe my college graduate career is over and I get to begin my teaching career now.
Other than that, life is simple. We're trying to enjoy the summer while it's still with us since Ohio winters seem to last forever. We take walks and/or drives for ice cream or slushies. Our ice cream stand is less than a mile away from our house so it tends to call our name more often than not. I'm still having bouts with pain from the gallbladder, but at least I'm starting to see some improvement. Instead of a constant pain, there are peaks and valleys in the days and that's encouraging enough for me.
Here's Jim washing the Shelby and me holding our friend's (Nick & Jill) baby, Noah. July might have been a busy month, but it was fun and memorable as well.
