JDA Reunion on 5-6 April 2008 - At the Watermill Hotel in Hemel Hempstead

Your committee hope that you and your family had good Diwali & Christmas break and wish you and your family prosperous new year. Yes, it is time for our next reunion. Follow on from last year’s success and members expressed wish, we are having our reunion 2008 once again at The Watermill Hotel in Hemel Hempstead.

We have managed to negotiate with Hotel the same charges for the room as last year with only slight increase in meal cost. Charges to attend the reunion are as following. There will be authentic Indian Vegetarian dinner.

YOUR PROMPT RESPONSE IS REQUIRED

Yes it is short notice for reunion 2008. But it is with reason. From past records of JDA reunion it is apparent that several members in spite of receiving early invitation usually return their completed confirmation and cheque very late, some time just few days before the reunion. For some members it becomes an oversight and telephone reminders becomes necessary. Hotels are very strict in their terms of payment and they insist for early deposit and full payment 4 weeks prior the event.

Annual Report 2007

It is with pleasure your committee presents to you herewith the “Annual Report 2007”. You will notice from the financial statements that for the last Reunion 2007 at The Watermill Hotel, this committee has managed to keep the expenses lower than the income received. Subscription income received last year is also doubled. Report contains President’s message, minutes of last AGM, and mainly long awaited members’ directory. Please let us have your comments and suggestion for items for inclusion in future reports. Your committee intends to publish annual report on regular basis.

Annual General Meeting 2008

Annual General Meeting 2008 will be held, like previous year, on Saturday 5 April 2008 3.00 pm.

Detailed agenda/itinerary of the reunion 2008 will be made available to members as soon as it is finalized.

JDA Subscription

You may notice from annual report that several members have cleared their outstanding subscription. Few members have yet not amended their bank standing orders. Please do amend you standing order now to current subscription rate for subscription payment in March-April 2008.

JDA Directory:

Please check your and your friends’ entry in JDA Directory and advice the secretary of any errors and omission so that it can be rectified before publishing next directory in 2009. Your subscription payment status for last 2 years, for year 2006 and 2007, according to treasurer’s records, is copied in to the “Booking Form”. If you have not paid or underpaid your subscription, please add appropriate amount when completing the “Booking Form” and amend your bank standing order to correct amount for future subscription payment.

Please return the “Booking Form” in all circumstances

If you know any MPSMC doctors who have not received this letter, you can invite them to our reunion or please advise me so I could send them proper invitation.
