Friday Fest

Post date: May 7, 2011 11:03:10 PM

I went to the 2011 Strawberry festival yesterday at NYU in Washington Square. It's a festival with music, free food, activities, prizes, and of course NEW YORK CITY's LONGEST STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE.

After getting in with the ID shown, I got the ticket. The ticket allows to be shown at each booth. The Strawberry shortcake was the first. Then drinking at least 5 shots of Vio berry vibration drink during and between events.

Mmmmmm Strawberries!

I played this game where you use the hammer to get to the bell. It was a bit heavy but I am not that strong. That counts is using a ticket and gotten myself NYU's strawberry festival pen.

Then it's GIANT JENGA, I made the tower fall but I still got sunglasses because the ticket is used. You only allow 2 prizes on the same ticket.

I spent almost 2 hours and a half there but I left the festival to find the bathroom in the park.

Then I went to Japan society for Uki Uki Nights Cosplay. I didn't do much here. So I didn't feel like discussing about this becuase it is similar to BRONX UNDERGOUND event in the past month.

Pics located at this link.

The only time is when I watch the quiz event. These 3 females I known very well are Team Yoshi. First round is the questions, second round is visual, and the third round is audio.

Visual Round

I cant' believe that it is that much difficult even for a gamer or a ROM-Remodeler. And I dance a bit to the last 8-Bit BGM music in the third round. METROID!

I looked at their paper and WHAT, they miss a lot on visual round. Well, at least they tried. Which is why Team Yoshi are way below 3rd place.

As a result to the rest of the event, I left because I didn't feel like staying much as I lost my touch.

Tomorrow is the 32nd Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival and it's FREE if I'm able to enter without a problem. I may end up meeting the same people I met at Japan Society and including Reni Mimura. And even some people I haven't even met in a while.
