Requesting Keys:
Keys must be requested through authorized staff.

Appropriate Chief
Planning and Facilities if above doesn't apply
Part time staff will not be issued keys.
Receiving keys:
As of September 2011, once the key request has been made by the appropriate staff (see above), the keys will be made available by Security Management Division of GSD.
The keys can be picked up at 611 Walker 3rd Floor Annex Wednesday and Thursday mornings 8:30am-11:30am.
Employees will be asked to show their ID and sign for the key. Keys to former work locations are generally returned when new keys are issued.
Lost keys:
Loss of keys/cards/gate remotes compromises security and may result in re-keying the entire building.
Any employee losing a key must complete an Incident Report withing two business days.
Planning and Facilities then will determine if the locks should be changed.
A new email request from the appropriate staff (see above) must be submitted for the replacement of the lost key.
Appropriate disciplinary action will then be taken depending on the type of key and the recurrence.
Surrender of keys upon separation or transfer:
All keys, card keys, and gate remotes must be surrendered to immediate supervisor or Human Resources upon separation.
