Cleaning and Grounds
Responsibility for cleaning and maintenance of buildings belongs to the General Services Department (GSD). Each location should be cleaned every day. Responsibility for maintenance of the grounds belongs to Parks and Recreation..

Delivery
The designated delivery parking space should be clearly marked. No one else should park in this space at any time.
A delivery driver will normally visit every location at least once every weekday.
The driver will drop off the following items, if applicable:
Bins of hold items and materials being returned to your location
Library mail and memos ( Please note: almost all library mail and memos now comes electronically)
Supplies ordered from the supply room
Boxes of new or other materials
Other items
The driver will pick up:
Bins of hold items and other items leaving your location (Please note that pick-up of boxes of discarded items and items being sent to Friends must be arranged in advance with FIDS).
Money bags with deposit
Library mail and memos
A staff member will need to sign a bill of receipt and a delivery service log every day indicating driver has picked up important items such as money bags. (Do not send time-sensitive material or confidential documents such as EPE’s or other personnel-related paperwork in delivery unless instructed to do so. If you need to send cash in delivery, it should be included in the locked money bag.
Salvage
Salvage includes large items, including but not limited to furniture, office supplies, etc., that are no longer need at a particular location. In order to get salvage items removed, fill out the Disposal of Surplus Materials (PDF, print and fill or Excel, fill and print or on the Intranet under Forms: Library Materials.) Submit the form to Financial Services.
