The Houston Public Library Programming Department provides services and programs that enrich, educate, and entertain Houstonians of all ages through a diverse selection of activities that encourage personal growth, social interaction, a sense of community, and bridge socioeconomic gaps by offering free access to technology and culture.
The Programming Team works to develop new program initiatives for the system, and for continued success and growth of existing programs. The team works with Neighborhood Library Team Leaders, Managers, and appointed staff members to develop programs that work for each community and to provide support when needed. Ideas for new programs and concerns or questions about existing programs are encouraged. Staff members may communicate with any member of the team.
