WPRs are “mini-EPEs” given to employees that are past their probation period. Ideally, WPRs are given during the 4th and 8th month of a rating period (12 months). They can be given at any time when a supervisor feels the need to document employee performance—both positive and negative.
A WPR has two parts: Performance Met or Exceeded Standard and Performance Needs Improvement. A WPR should reflect the job duties, goals, and expectations listed in the EPE Plan. Download the WPR form at
WPRs are an excellent way of documenting performance; therefore, they should be done in an accurate and timely manner.
