Solution

Go to the well in the alley outside of the bank.You will need a lightsource.

Figure out the south maze. Much easier in brief mode. the denizen at the end

takes on the strength of its attack so if you can talk a newbie into it then

try to get them to kill it off. look at altar,open altar, get heart,n,take

sword,leave,s,e,e,e,s,d,pull lever,w,impale heart
