NYU Medical School

GI Bill

Don't think I have seen anything specific about how Dad attended Medical School, etc., but presumably he was assisted by the G.I. Bill (Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944).

This ""Re-adjustment Allowance Record" shows that he was validating some assistance (showing no earnings for the time periods here). Note change of address from the Greystone Avenue address used during the war to 611 W. 113th St.[1]

Notes:

  1. There seems to be no building there now. Apparently, it was the Sunnycrest, and the property is currently owned by Columbia University.

Progress to Graduation

Looks like Dad made it through each year! Very formal with seal on each page.
