hey guys - my amazing daughter is at it again. Tired of scrolling through the food GID list to find your items? Want to use her amazing calculator but don't want to search the cookbook for the cooking times???? THERE's a new help for these things!
Rachel created a FOOD FINDER app. It is linked on the Send and Ask pages as "GID Finder"
How does it work? enter all or part of the name of the food you need. For example, your goal needs stout braised lamb shanks. Type in stout and hit the "find my food" button - and every food with that word in it pops up - in alphabetical order. THIS will reveal food GID (for free food links) food UID (for choose your own food begging link) and the cooking time (to use her cooking calculator). If the cooking time says 9999 9999 9999 then either its not cookable, or (if its a newer food) I didn't have the times to put in when I updated the database.
This took her a week to compile and will be updated as often as possible - some of the brand new foods may take a week to get in there.. however.. it is current as of TODAY.

update - 8/1/2013 - added EASY ASK to the food finder. Ask for your food directly from the finder now! No need to enter GID this way.
update 10/10/2013 - You asked for it! We did it! "Where did that food come from," or "I'm missing a food I need for catering, how do I get it?" Every food now has an origin so you can trace back to where it came from!
The Abbreviation CM means Catering Mission
