How to find your facebook UID

You need your Facebook User ID (UID) for many reasons in cafe world, so here's how to find it!

THIS WORKS IN CHROME!!!!! IT DOES NOT WORK IN INTERNET EXPLORER.

Go to facebook, click on your NAME on the news feed. you will see your vanity id (most likely)

The URL will look like this:

www.facebook.com/julie.cafeworld

put your cursor on the www and delete the three w's and replace with the word "graph"

so your URL looks like this:

graph.facebook.com/julie.cafeworld

THEN HIT ENTER

It takes a few seconds, but then you get THIS:

SEE THAT ID??? there you go :)

NOW COPY THAT NUMBER AND PASTE IT INTO A WORD DOCUMENT, OR NOTEPAD.

OR bookmark the graph webpage with the information, so you have it at your fingertips!

ALTERNATE METHODS!!!

When you click on your name, it shows up in the address bar like THIS http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1000xxxxxxxxx

That long number is your user ID.

If you have a vanity ID, it shows up like THIS http://www.facebook.com/micky.mouse...

and if that is the case, right click on your profile picture or your cover photo and choose open in new tab.

It will open in a new tab and the URL (address bar) will show THIS http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.987654321.246810222.485248754&type=1 or like THIS

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1234567890000&set=a.112313132132.246810.521557954&type=1. THAT LAST SET OF NUMBERS is always your user ID.

(p.s. I typed in random numbers, I apologize if it was yours!)

Some people however have a weird pic that doesn't open nicely with the type=1 at the end, and when you open that pic in a new window, it looks like this

for THOSE PEOPLE ONLY the user ID is the 2nd one from the end - in this case - 1588248886.

If you have problems and CANNOT figure it out for yourself - and cannot get a friend to find it for you, contact me on the facebook page and I will see if I can find it..

BUT PLEASE try to do it yourself first. Getting thousands of requests for helping finding facebook ID is going to take time away from maintaining website!!!
