Minutes of previous meeting approved.
Sign Duty -- Peg will has taken the responsibility to post the sign at the entrance on the Monday before a Thursday Board meeting.
Budget -- So far this year Association income exceeds expenses by $1,800. There is $23,300 cash on hand. There are no home owners in arrears.
New Directors -- The Board nominated, voted, and welcomed two new members of the Board of Directors: Donna Falcone is an original owner who will finish out the 2016/2017 term that Pat Whitesel held. Alan Promberger will take on the common grounds while finishing out the 2017/2018 term Ray Dalto held. Also, Cliff Anderson accepted the nomination of President. Congratulations and good luck to all! The ARC role has transferred from Ray to Floyd Edler.
Diseased Oak Tree at Entrance -- Was taken down at a cost of $800 (includes the stump removal) plus the $300 County permit. A new tree will be planted for $400.
Pepper Trees -- Have been removed on the north end.
SWFWMD Issue -- There is an issue with a retaining wall.
Social Committee -- There will be a Fall Festival on November 12th. The next Garage Sale will be February.
Welcoming -- Last year we welcomed 13 new homeowners! There are 4 this year. Wendy will continue to be our official Greeter, and anyone who would like to help should contact Wendy.
Directory -- The new resident form will be modified to seek information from renters so they may be included in the annual Directory.
Diseased Oak Trees on Homeowner Property -- These will eventually infect other healthy trees, so they should be removed when discovered. Believe there are 3 such trees. Each homeowner was sent a letter. The County was contacted and they agreed to write a letter. When an oak "street tree" is removed it must be replaced. Ray shared a long list of alternative species that are approved by the County.
Fund Raiser for Diseased Trees -- Donna Falcone suggested a fund raiser (such as raffles, silent auctions) at the Fall Festival to help the three homeowners with the diseased trees have them removed. Since the Activities Fund is separate and apart from the business of the Board, there would be no legal nor precedence concerns.
