The Annual Meeting of the Hawthorn Park Home Owner Association was scheduled for Thursday, November 18th, 2010 at the NW Baptist Church. Unfortunately, a quorum was not achieved, so business of the Association could not be transacted. However, there was some discussion of a general nature, captured here.
Please note: These are not the official meeting minutes. The official minutes are recorded by Susan Thimmes, Property Manager, and are archived at the offices of Sentry Management.

TOPICS DISCUSSED:
Call to Order -- Mike Sandstrum called the meeting to order. He explained that Mike Hogan, President of the Board, was called away urgently on a family illness. Mike requested a determination of a quorum. Susan Thimmes, Property Manager, reported that a quorum of the Association has failed. Only 36 absentee proxies plus in-person members are present, short of the 47 needed. Therefore the official Annual Meeting is unable to occur.
Board Elections -- Because the Annual Meeting was unable to be held, the current Board of Directors remains in place for another year. There are six Board members and one opening. The Board will appoint someone to fill the vacant position. Mike announced that anyone interested in serving on the Board to please come forward any time during or after the meeting.
Front Entrance Sign -- Bob Adema mentioned how nice the front sign looks since Frank Maruca repainted it. Frank received a round of applause.
Annual Directories -- Jeannie Ladd distributed the Directories, and she asked that those in attendance please pick-up the copies for neighbors not in attendance.
New Sentry Web Site Features -- Susan announced that the Sentry Management web site has been enhanced with some new features:
Board Members will be able to view financials on-line.
Association Members will be able to view their own financial status on-line.
Association Members will be able to pay their dues with a credit card. (A convenience fee for this service is added.)
To access your member account, you will need the 16-digit number that appears on your payment coupons. Once you access the site, you will create your own password. Susan thanked Art Stadlin for maintaining the unofficial Hawthorn Park web site and the unofficial email NewsFlash -- both of which will continue.
Mike Sandstrum closed this unofficial meeting.
