Regular Board Meeting (3/26/2015)
Please note: These are not the official meeting minutes. The official minutes are recorded by the Property Manager, and are archived at the offices of Sentry Management.
SUMMARY:
There will be a homeowner’s meeting in the near future to vote on amending the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions to allow future amendments to be approved with a simple majority (51%). The vote on this amendment, however, will require 67% of the home owners for approval. If approved, future amendments, including one eliminating the requirement of the Board to negotiate a bulk rate TV contract, could be approved with a simple majority vote. You will receive more information in the mail from Sentry Management.
The Board approved a contract to “raise the canopy” at the front entrance rather than do phase two of the ficus tree removal.
Mail box brackets may be ordered for any that may be broken. Contact Ray Dalto for more information.
Backflow preventers have all been tested. If you have a blue tag on your valve it has passed. If not, you should have received a letter from Sentry Management. It is the responsibility of the home owner to have a failed backflow valve repaired or replaced at their cost. Actual and quoted prices range from $125-$360.
The Robinson Farms (west of HP) issue is in the news again. Governor Scott has reversed (again) the judicial decision that did not permit increased density in that area. It now appears that it will go to the Appellate Court.
Cleaning of street signs is being looked into.
Missing TV channels on TVs connected directly to a wall outlet (no cable box) may be restored by doing an “auto scan” for channels on your TV.
