Development Philosophy

Over the past ten years of my career, I have used my land and property development skillset in every way possible to feed my interests in business creation, youth development, and neighborhood revitalization. I attacked these interests from multiple angles; political, educational, economic.

I have created jobs by executing neighborhood revitalization plans. I have represented business owners in commercial lease transactions. I have earned investors trust by managing their re-development projects. Moreover, I have found great joy teaching young people how to get from where they are now to where they want to be. As a trailblazer and pioneer of sorts in my family and hometown, I take my responsibility very serious when it comes to ensuring the future is brighter than the past.

Aside from real estate development, my personal development program SHIFT Enterprise Academy, Inc is at the core of my philosophy about the best way to serve a multitude of people. When I ran for office in 2015, it was not because I wanted to be a politician, it was because I believed at the time this was the way to execute my philosophy about development for small businesses, youth, and affordable housing.

By any means necessary

While I prefer working in the private sector of real estate development, early in my career I saw a need to integrate my community's best interest into the plans of my local government. I ran unsuccessfully, but as the "man in the arena" quote states, I would have it no other way than to be in the heat of the battle collaborating and creating solutions for the people, places, and things I care about most.
