David Tollas and Nadia Begin both live at Arcosanti. For much of their stay there they managed new construction as a husband and wife team with David as the construction manager supervising new construction at Arcosanti and Nadia as the designer and director of planning at Arcosanti. While at Arcosanti they have taken several trips to Auroville.
One of their goals has to develop a knowledge sharing and exchange between these two unique experiments in alternative living. One of the goals of the program is to promote service or experiential learning programs in between the two communities and also with the rest of the world. The goal is to model this program along what the University of Washington has done in relation to its learning exchange program which has involved the design and construction of a ecoliving center which houses students who have an interest in ecological design there at Auroville.
