Overcoming Fear-Based Economics through Deprogramming
Deprogramming: In order to become a force for change we have to attempt to deal with overriding factors in our lives which keep us mired in predictable behaviors and modes of existence. These various modes of subservience and obedience to what Daniel Quinn in Ishmael calls the mother culture, keeps the most vitalized and powerful parts of us submerged deep within the unconscious self. This repression works synergistically helping to give us the illusion that we are ordinary and that we do not deserve nor should aspire to something more than the mundane. The exponent of the mother culture is the mainstream society whose vital role is to keep those most authentically powerful parts of us deeply submerged in the unconscious. The predictability of our actions as people cut off from the realization of our essential selves helps to ensure that we through everyday actions will continue to affirm the mainstream reality and its very narrow range of perceptions about the people and things that make up our world.
Any group of individuals who seek to come together as a community needs to reexamine their relationships with the larger world. To develop truly as a semi-autonomous entity and not simply as a wholly owned subsidiary of a larger trans-national institution, we must strive to reawaken themselves and develop an present-based identity that is at the same time aware of the past and concerned about the future. On the local level we need to develop a sense of purpose and being which while being unique to that group, also supports the integrity of the larger group consciousness, and ultimately that of humanity. Though our own rebirth and rediscovery we affirm the uniqueness of the people which are the members of that community.
A wisdom based culture is one which seeks to overcome judgment and enmity towards those who are different. Such an inclination to overcome judgment leads to the diversification of how we perceive reality and this is very necessary for us to fully understand how life actually functions on a deeper and larger level. Overcoming judgment and embracing diversity while seeking to work within the larger wholes of existence of which we are a part of, is key not only to the development of a wisdom-based culture but is also necessary to the fostering of an unfettered cultural and social dynamic which encourages creative energies to grow.
Encourage social interactions that are unfettered by fears and inhibitions that only constrain us from realizing and then developing our full potential.
Express our feelings more honestly
Embrace constructive criticism
