Meeting Notes May 2014

Diablo Weavers Guild

Meeting of May 23, 2014

President Carol Causey opened the meeting.

There was no Treasurer's Report as Vilija was absent.

CNCH Report: liaison Joan Anderson reported no CNCH news.

Officers for next year:

Carol Causey asked for volunteers for President next year. She also asked for someone to work with Mary Helen Binger to learn the job of Program Chair.

Vilija will remain as treasurer, and Pam will continue as meeting recorder.

Announcements:

Pam Murdock showed the Saori bag made from fabric the group made at our meeting on Saori weaving, and announced it would be raffled later in the meeting.

Susie Hodges reported on a jacquard weaving class offered at California College of the Arts. Carol Gray had a donation of yarn. Carol Causey offered items for a contribution to the guild.

Joan Anderson listed the supplies members need to bring to work on the project at the June picnic on June 20. We will be making tote bags from recycled chicken feed sacks. If you have one, bring a 6" x 24"quilt ruler, and some binder clips. The feed sacks don't take pins easily.

Programs - Mary Helen Binger
