Diablo Weavers Guild meets in Walnut Creek, usually on the third or fourth Friday of the month from September through June, 10:00 am until noon or a little later.
New members and guests are welcome.
In September, December and June we meet at a member's home. Other meetings are usually held at the Thurman Casey Library in Walnut Creek (Ygnacio Valley Library).

KPFA Crafts Fair
KPFA CRANEWAY CRAFTS FAIR is Dec. 17 & 18 (10-5). There will be 200 vender booths, free parking and a free shuttle from the Richmond BART station. Entrance fee to benefit KPFA is $12 (ages 18-64), $8 (seniors & disabled) and youths are free. Food and lots of good music are available.
To drive, take 580 toward the Richmond San Rafael Bridge and take the Harbour Way South off-ramp. Take the next two right turns and drive toward the bay. The Craneway and lots of free parking are next to the Rosie the Riveter State Park. The address is 1414 Harbour Way South. For more info, see Fairinfo@KPFA.org
Valley Stitchers Program
Another local guild, Valley Stitchers, will be having a presentation by Sheila O’Hara on January 2nd.
Sheila is a weaver of stunning landscapes, dancing sheep, and many other fiber fantasies. She has been weaving since 1976, gradually progressing to working on a jacquard loom. Her weavings can now be much more detailed, with some being photo realistic such as "Pomo Girl" pictured here. Her "Dancing Sheep" have been perennial favorites of weavers for a long time. Sheila will talk about her life in weaving, her inspirations and her process. She is a great, entertaining speaker.
