Schedule Program

Welcome for another season of learning and friendship with members of the Camera Club. The schedule for the season is proposed to be as follows:

Meetings

· Bi-Weekly meetings will be held in GP-F on Tuesdays as follows:

· For the remainder of 2017: November 21, December 5 and 19.

· From January 2 to March 13, 2018 meetings will be held weekly

· As in previous years, the official meetings will start at 1 pm. However, members are encouraged to arrive earlier as the Club has access to GP-F from 12 noon. Arriving early gives us time to socialize, exchange information and tap the expertise of other members.

Wall Gallery Exhibit

· Four Wall Gallery Exhibits are planned: December 13, January 10, February 14 and March 14.

· The takedowns and set ups are proposed to be from 9 to 11 a.m. on each of these dates

· Prior to each exhibit, members will be canvased to determine interest in submitting photographs.

· Members will be informed if their photos are selected for exhibit. An attempt will be made to ensure that all members have an opportunity to exhibit during the season.

· Exhibitors should bring their photos to a meeting of the Camera Club immediately preceding the installation date for secure storage or bring them in on the morning of the installation.

· Precise details and deadlines will be provided at meetings, by email and posted on the Club website.

Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers

· February 6, 2017

Photo Art Expo

· March 3-4, 2018. Details will follow about the deadlines for submission of photographs and the rules governing the exhibit.

Year-end Pot Luck

· Tuesday, March 6 from 11 to 2 p.m. (room to be confirmed)

General Information

· As in previous years, meetings will focus on learning about photography, primarily through an exploration of the photographs shared by the members. Since we are a Club as opposed to school of photography, the greater the membership participation, the more we will learn and the more enjoyable our meetings are. Let’s tap the expertise of the experienced photographers in our group.

· The Photo Art Expo in March will be an exhibit of our members’ individual best works. Once again, the Camera Club will not be holding a competition.

Century Camera Club Website

· The website address is: https://sites.google.com/site/cvecameraclub/

· Members are encouraged to make regular use of the Club’s new web site for information about meeting agenda; deadlines and resources etc.
