Hi everyone: Harvey Betsalel has done some research on when pictures can be taken in public. Although the reference web site is Canadian, I think that it is worth reading even for our American photographers in the Club.
Unfortunately the article is silent on the issue of photographing children. As you know, this is an area fraught with danger…proceed with care. I have been told that in competitions, many clubs now require model releases where children are involved. Of course, taking pictures of children in public in Canada and the USA (and maybe Europe) might attract the authorities’ attention...
