Twin Spin plus some. Mike Esau and Peggy Beattie were introduced by Rebel Umphlett in 7th grade when Rebel took Peggy to a Rec dance and Esau went stag (as usual). They went out together in 11th grade to the Thanksgiving Dance and eventually tied the knot on June 3, 1978. Rebel was the best man. Most agree Esau got the better end of the deal by half. They have two children - Kate and Schuyler and grandchildren even, Megan and Lucy.

The mystery man - Michael Esau - the man with the focus of a laser, the man with the super power which allows him to make a vast number of people stark raving mad all at the same time. Some of the time he is in Terre Haute, IN with his lovely wife - the same sweet and kind Peggy Beattie we remember from high school. Some of the time Mike is in Wappinger Falls, NY in the air traffic control tower. Some of the time he is off agitating the Federal Aviation Administration on behalf of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA). The Beatties moved to Chapel Hill the summer before 7th grade when Dave Beattie transferred from IBM Poughkeepsie to IBM Research Triangle Park. Peggy started working in crafts and hobbies shortly after Billy Arthur's opened at Eastgate Shopping Center. She went on to make her mark in retail opening and managing to success the Toy Store and later the Children's Store at University Mall. After Mike was transferred to Madison, WI, Peggy studied and received training in the child care and started a successful in home day care business for six years. The city of Madison recognized her talents and recruited her to oversee 4-C, the city's daycare support and regulatory administration.
