Tommy Lockhart is MIA, not deceased!

CHECK OUT THE "WATN?" SECTION FOR UPDATED INFO ON TOMMY!

From Jim Sharpe:

I don't think that he had a whole lot of friends at CHHS but I knew him well. He really was a good soul. When all this reunion stuff started, at first no one knew where he was. I was determined to find him. I was saddened to hear that he had passed on a few years ago. He died in N.Y.

From Michael Esau:

Tommy had a rare sense of humor and air of camaraderie that helped pass the days at school for those who had the pleasure of knowing him. There are quite a few Tommy Lockhart stories floating around out there. Here is one of them:

In ninth grade, our "first" attempt at the driving portion of my Driver's Ed class was with I. C. Yagel. Our little crew consisted of me, Tommy, Phoebe Pollitt and Jan Storey. Tommy had some experience driving vehicles on the family farm - a turkey farm I believe - and I had been driving my mom's car around the driveway and the parking lot at the Country Club without her knowledge. Tommy and I both had some laughs mocking Jan and Phoebe's perceived lack of driving skill compared to our own.

At the end of the four week run Phoebe and Jan had their learner's permits. Tommy and I, according to Mr. Yagel, were dangers to the highways of America and the driving public at large. He claimed we were the worst two students ever and we that we were so bad that he had to flunk us and he felt sorry for whoever had us next. I remember Tommy and me consoling each other by and cracking ourselves up about our dilemma.

I had heard rumors that Tommy had moved to New York City and "disappeared" about fifteen or twenty years ago.
