Richard Campbell Nursing Home Service Project

One of the Service Projects we decided to do at our last meeting was the Richard Campbell Nursing Home Project. The details have been worked out and the following note is being sent to all Packs and Troops in our District. Please read it to see all the details for the project and our Chapter Meeting which we will have at the same time. We can also discuss this more at the September 10 Chapter Meeting.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Thomas Roznowski and I am the Order of the Arrow Ca-Nu-Pa Chapter Chief. Our Chapter has organized a service project in the past to collect items and visit with our Veterans in the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home and we would like to continue that tradition.

This event is open to everyone in our District to help collect the requested items and then to visit with the Veterans on October 8th, so feel free to spread the word. The 2017 Item donation list is attached.

Our Chapter Meeting will be held at the end of the visit and I would ask that only Ca-Nu-Pa Chapter OA Members attend the Chapter Meeting.

The October 8th schedule is below:

12:30pm - 1:00pm We will meet at the Pavilion with all donated items. Doughnuts will be available for all volunteers.

1:00pm - 2:30pm We will tour the Nursing home and talk with the Veterans.

2:30pm - 3:30pm OA Chapter Meeting (Ca-Nu-Pa Chapter OA members only)

I will also be talking about this project at the September 7th District Roundtable Meeting. We would ask that If any Pack/Troop/individual would like to donate items, that they bring them to the October 5th Roundtable Meeting or bring them at 12:30 pm to the Veterans Home on October 8th.

This is a great service project to do for the community and to show our respect and appreciation for the Veterans in our area. I hope to see all of you there. The Veteran's Home is located at 4605 Belton Highway in Anderson.
