Ca-Nu-Pa we’ll have our next January 2010 chapter meeting at the Lodge Leadership Development Conference (LLDC) on January 30th . Our February 2010 Chapter meeting will be held at Camp Buc “Arctic Freeze” Ca-Nu-Pa Retreat in North Carolina on Feb 6, 2010. We will not have a chapter meeting on Jan 16th.
Due January 6th are 2010 Youth Lodge Committee Chairman. There are 2010 AKK Lodge level Committee Chairman position available that need to be filled. Lodge is asking me, as the future Vice Chief of Communications for the lodge, to corrdinate finding youth who are interested to serve as "Lodge Chairman" for any of the following committees (1) Lodge Website / Plan Book Committee Chairman (2) Camp Promotion Chairman - (Where-to-go-camping guide) (3) Little Carpenter Newsletters, (4) Lodge History Chairman. Requirement for each is the desire and interest to serve. Please e-mail me or contact me at johnnyc97@aol.com if you’re interested in any of these positions.
January 22-24 is 2010 Carolina’s OA Indian Seminar at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, NC. I’m planning on attending. Lodge will be staying at Red Roof Inn and not on campus. Let Brian Almond Brickinthiewall3@aol.com and Virginia Mathews deweyb@bellsouth.net know if you’d like to attend (let me know too).
Feb 5-7, Camp Buc Retreat - Action Needed: Registration is easy. We need to know headcount by Troop (How many on Friday and how many on Saturday). Please begin now to let me know if you’re planning on attending or not. We need to know headcounts by Troop by Friday January 8th so we can finalize plans. OA Troop Reps or OA Troop Adult Advisors, please E-mail me at johnnyc97@aol.com on your Troop’s OA headcount planning to attend. Youth pay $25 for two nights, includes lodging, food and patch. Due January 8, 2010 are the Dixie Pre-Registration forms. Forms are available at AKK and Ca-Nu-Pa websites
Due January 15, 2010 are the Lodge Leadership Development Conference and Banquet Pre-registration. Form is available at AKK and Ca-Nu-Pa websites.
OA and Lodge Dues ($9) are due by January 31, 2010. Form is loaded on AKK and Ca-Nu-Pa websites. The information asked on this form helps update the AKK data base!
Ca-Nu-Pa Spring Camporee Committee is seeking OA Adult volunteers representatives from each Six and Twenty Troop. Youth Committee Chairman is Wil Magaha. Wil’s e-mails is: andjmm@aol.com .
