Place: Buc Outdoor Center (Camp Buc), Sapphire, NC 28774. Camp Buc and The Outdoor Center is located off NC Hwy 281 SOUTH Between > Whitewater Falls and Gorges State Park, in Nantahala National Forest > south of Sapphire, NC in the North Carolina Mountains. >

Goals > of Ca-Nu-Pa “Arctic Freeze” Retreat Promote camping, being in the outdoors, > tent camping, lodge camping, Hiking, Backpacking, BBQ, explore OA and > lodge history, story telling, Chapter & Lodge planning, Fellowship… > FUN FUN FUN

What to Bring: Youth and Adults to bring a > Cracker Barrel item(s) to share COOKIES. CHIPS , DIPS, DRINKS, ETC.

Bring Class A's with OA Sashes for > Chapter Meeting on Saturday and Chapel on Sunday Rock Face and/or > Ruby Mine campers, bring your own tent, supplies and backpacking > meals.

Cost to attend: Youth: $15 for youth. Adults: $25. > Includes up to two nights, meals, historical patch. Also, please bring a Cracker > Barrel snack and/or dessert item(s) donation to share.

Funds not used > will be saved and applied to offset the costs of future Ca-Nu-Pa > sponsored outings and camping scholarships.

Scholarships are available Do not let money be the reason you do not come to this event (Contact Darrell Green).

Day Trips only: (If you plan to come up for Saturday and do not stay overnight)

Youth: Free Adults: $10 (per day)

It is not necessary to send any Money now we can collect all money when we get to Camp Buc.

We need > headcount estimates to complete our planning process and buy food. >

Also we ask that Troop OA Reps & Troop OA Advisors and Troop > Scoutmasters to help us coordinate the registration process within > each unit.

Make any checks > payable to Van Cason.

Lodging Options: - Heated Lodge - (30 bunks > divided into 2 sections, 2 full baths upstairs, Downstairs 2 full Baths > w/showers, full kitchen) - 8 Open Air Cabins w/ bunks and electricity > only. Each Sleeps 8 to 12. - If you want to tent camp, bring your > own tent. –

Meals and Food: Meals provided by Ca-Nu-Pa > Cookout Committee – served in the heated Lodge. Cracker Barrels: > Everyone to bring something to share – (from drinks to cakes, > cookies, carrots, chips, etc.)

Any youth and/or adult going > overnight(s) a Trek(s) away from Lodge are responsible for their own > food.

From Anderson area: Take Hwy 76 through Clemson to Seneca. > Turn onto Hwy 130 toward Hwy 11. Crossover Hwy 11 and continue on SC > 130 approximately 15 miles. (SC-130 becomes NC-281 at the state > line.) Look for Whitewater Equestrian Center on your right, and then > begin looking for the Camp Buc signs. (You will see the large Camp BUC sign at this intersection). Turn left onto State Road 1188 > (Upper Whitewater Road) and follow the gravel road and signs into the > camp. (You will see the large Camp BUC sign at this intersection). >
